Nextlisbon started in mid-2012 in the Portuguese capital.
It was founded by Luis N. Filipe, transportation planner and environmental engineer, together with Johannes Bouchain from the Nexthamburg team, residing in Lisbon during that period.
From the start till the current moment, the project is in the idea collecting phase. The first session was held in spring 2013, the second one is planned for the late 2014. Currently, one of the main formats - besides the web platform - is "LXA conversa", the Nextlisbon radio program. Like in all other Next projects, the concept wants to strengthen bottom-up open public participation, but here one of the interesting aspects is the existence of a municipal participatory budget, and LXAMANHÃ aims to build a strong bridge to the projects proposed for it.
